Manchester Jewish Community Care formerly known as Manchester Jewish Blind Society, was founded in 1951 to provide welfare services and social activities for blind and partiallysighted members of the Manchester Jewish community. In 1987 the original Victorian building was replaced with a new Day Centre and at the same time services were extended to include the needs of people with physical disabilities, the elderly and housebound as well as people with dementia.
