Manchester Buddhist Centre in Manchester Business & UK Resources

The Manchester Buddhist Centre is part of the Friends of the Western Buddhist Order, an international movement dedicated to the application of Buddhist principles in contemporary society. The FWBO was founded in London in 1967 by Sangharakshita, an English Buddhist monk who had returned from twenty years of Buddhist practice and study in India. The FWBO aims to maintain Buddhism as a living tradition, responding creatively to the changing conditions of the modern West. There are over eighty FWBO centres worldwide including our centre here in Manchester.
