The Irish Community in Manchester is getting together and holding a charity dance in memory of Mum and Dad on Friday 17th October 2008 in St Kentigerns Social club. It will start at 8pm and will go onto late. All the monies raised will be shared equally between the Heart foundation and Christies Cancer Research department in Manchester two totally worth while causes. Eileen and I agreed to hold the dance in memory of Mum and Dad as many people commented on the great impact Mum and Dad had in the community and how they themselves were great supporters of many charity events for over 35 years. We feel privileged that so many people want to do this in memory of them and know it is another positive event that will help us and give us a nice goal post to look forward too. Eileen and I will be attending the event however will have little to do will collecting monies or the organisation of the event. In saying that knowing us the way u all do u know we will be using all our means possible so that we can ensure the night will be a complete success and will raise as large amount as possible in memory of our parents name.
