Manchester Adoption Society is an independent voluntary adoption agency and registered charity with more than 40 year’s experience of placing children for adoption. Since our inception in 1965, we have maintained an innovative approach to our work and have always focused on children’s needs first. MAS employs experienced staff with substantial postqualification experience. Additionally the team is supported by external consultants: an Independent Social Work Consultant, Legal Advisor, Medical Adviser and Education Advisor. Our commitment to ongoing training ensures that staff, Adoption and Concurrent Planning Panel members and Trustees have opportunities to develop their knowledge of research and practice. We are members of the The Consortium of Voluntary Adoption Agencies, B.A.A.F and we work closely with Adoption 22.
