I am currently Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Manchester and Consultant Clinical Psychologist in the NHS and private practice. I have worked in adult mental health in the NHS from 1979 South Manchester DHA, Salford DHAuntil 1989, and from 1991 until present South Manchester University Hospitals NHS Trust; Manchester Mental Health and Social Care NHS Trust. I have considerable experience in all aspects of mental health, in the assessment and treatment of anxiety, emotional, depressive disorders, psychological trauma and PTSD, personality disorders, psychotic disorders and schizophrenia. I was head of the NHS Clinical Psychology Service in SMUHT from 19912000. I have considerable experience in assessing and treating with mental health problems associated with burn injury Burns unit, SMUHT. My NHS clinical practice is within Manchester Mental Health and Social Care NHS Trust and is located at Laureate House, Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester. I currently manage adult psychology out patient and psychological trauma clinics at Wythenshawe Hospital. I have worked in private practice in Australia 19891991 and England 1991 –present. My private practice is located at Calderbank Medical Chambers, 87 Palatine Road, West Didsbury, Manchester, M20 3JQ. I am an accredited cognitive behaviour therapist with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy BABCP. I am the past Chair of BABCP. I am honorary Fellow of BABCP awarded 1988. I have specific expertise, and I am an internationally acknowledged expert in cognitive behaviour therapy CBT.
