The North West College of Homoeopathy NWCH offers training in Classical Homeopathy. The college was established in 1984 by Ernest Roberts. Ernests goal was to educate homeopathic practitioners and teachers to the highest standards by using a range of flexible learning styles, which placed special emphasis on student participation and self development and on close supervision at all stages of their training. The outcome of this innovative approach has meant that the number of practitioners and students has grown substantially since 1984. There are a large number of qualified graduates from the college who are now running successful practices in many parts of the country. The college has regularly conducted research into homeopathic medicines and has gained an international reputation for training and research in the homeopathic field. The college also provides homeopathic treatment to patients throughout the region at its college clinics. There are chronic clinics providing opportunities for private consultations or both chronic and acute dropin clinics where up to three students sit in, observe and contribute. The North West College of Homoeopathy is based at Room 315, Houldsworth Mill, Stockport which forms the administrative base of the college. Since 1992 the teaching weekends of the four year part time course have been held at the Manchester Metropolitan University Didsbury Campus. Here we have access to wellequipped lecture rooms, tutorial rooms, clinic rooms with audiovisual facilities and remote viewing for students, a refectory and all the other facilities associated with university accommodation. The core teaching team at the NWCH have been involved in the development, teaching and in some cases clinical supervision at the college for many years, some since its inception. We are fortunate to have an internationallyrenowned core teaching team. As the college has grown we have needed more teachers, tutors and supervisors. Many of our graduates, particularly those with teaching experience, have continued to be involved with the college in this capacity and are recruited according to experience and expertise.
