The Hallé, Britains longestestablished symphony orchestra, founded in Manchester by Sir Charles Hallé in 1858. The Hallés present Music Director is Sir Mark Elder CBE. The Hallé Choir and Hallé Youth Choir are directed by the Hallés Choral Director James Burton. The Hallé Youth Orchestra is directed by the Hallés Assistant Conductor, Rory Macdonald. The Hallé CD label was launched in 2003 and features a number of highlyacclaimed recordings.
