Forest was founded in 1924 as a coeducational independent school, catering for the needs of children up to the age of 11. The school has grown over the years and now includes a PrePrep Department for children age 24. A country school, with small classes, Forest still maintains its rural charm. Close to the village of Timperley near Altrincham and within easy access to Manchester, its situation is convenient for busy families. We offer Early Morning care and Late Stay facilities for children of all ages. Forest provides pleasant and peaceful surroundings for children to pursue their studies. Classrooms are grouped in a number of buildings set within over an acre of mature gardens. There are spacious green play areas as well as three hard surfaced playgrounds. PrePrep and Reception classes also have fenced outdoor play provision attached to their classrooms. Forest has an enviable academic record and is renowned for its musical and sporting achievements. We pride ourselves on the close links we share with the local community and the efforts parents, children and staff make to raise funds for local charities. Life at school is greatly enhanced thanks to the work of our industrious Parents’ Association. They produce a calendar of events and try to make sure there is something for everyone, from the Easter Egg Hunt in the garden strictly for the children to the May Ball strictly for the adults
