Stockport Mind is an independent adult mental health charity that offers friendly, accessible support and information to promote wellbeing in the community. We are affiliated to National Mind, one of the leading mental health charities in England and Wales. The Stockport Mind organisation was set up by a group of volunteers in 1971 and has grown to be one of the largest Local Mind Associations in the North West. We are run by an Executive Committee, volunteers and paid staff. A proportion of these people have had experience of the mental health services as users.
