The most ambitious Art Car event of 2007 was Glowmobiles, which took place in NewcastleGateshead on New Year’s Eve as part of the NewcastleGateshead Winter Festival 07...a dazzling array of illuminated Art Cars and other illuminated vehicles including bikes, a fire engine, and an inline tricycle appeared at various locations across the city. 16 vehicles, including some of those originally commissioned in 07, will be returning to NewcastleGateshead. Walk the Plank are now working with NewcastleGateshead Initiative to commission four new vehicles especially for New Year’s Eve’s Glowmobiles event.
